Alex Kalmakoff
September 29, 1929 – January 20, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband, dad and grandfather Alex. He passed peacefully at his beloved home after suffering a massive stroke the previous Monday. Greeting him in heaven are his parents, Alex and Helen, his brother Walter, his sister Helen, his granddaughter Bailey, his grandson Derek and many other friends, relatives and pets.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Florence, his daughters Kathlyn LaBossiere (Michael), Laurie Bruchet (Tony), Donna Olson (Mark), son Jim Kalmakoff and all his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the USCC Community Hall on Saturday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. Burial and luncheon to follow. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the ambulance drivers, the wonderful doctors and nurses at Boundary Hospital, hospice care, home support as well as our dear neighbour Ellen for their compassion, care and support to us.
