Alex was born on April 1, 1937, at Grand Forks, B.C., and passed away suddenly on March 28, 2011, at the age of 73.

Alex was predeceased by his parents, Annie and Nick; brother, Nick Borisenkoff; sister-in-law, Vera Borisenkoff; and brother-in-law, Alex Negreifff. He is lovingly survived by his sister, Irene Negreiff; nephews: Norman Borisenkoff, Lloyd and Deborah Borisenkoff, Michael and Brooke Negreiff ; niece, Michelle Negreiff; great-grandnephews and nieces: Jordan, Teshia, Alexandra, David, Coleman and Greyson.

Alex began his working career at the Midway Sawmill at 21 years of age and then moved to Vancouver where he worked for 40 years at the Phillips Cable Company. Alex retired at age 62 and moved back to Grand Forks in 2005 where he lived the remainder of his life. Alex travelled around the world to places like Mexico, Hawaii, USA, Yugoslavia, England, Spain and Portugal. He enjoyed visiting various casinos, socializing with friends for coffee, playing lotto tickets, spending time with his family and friends located all over Canada and the USA.

A funeral service for Alex was held at the USCC Sion Cemetery on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. A special thank you to the Baker family of Grand Forks Funeral Home, the USCC and Sion Cemetery . May he rest in peace. He will be missed by his family.
