The family of Alex A Popoff sadly announces his sudden passing in the Kelowna General Hospital September 28th, 2013. He was predeceased by his father John, his mother Vera, his brother Johnny, and his sister Marie. He is survived by his wife Marlene, son Spencer (Leana), daughter Angela (Dave), brothers Andy and Eddie, stepmother Louise, and seven grandchildren; Chloey, Grayson, Sierra, Natalie, Aralia, Landon and Hudson. Alex was a long-time resident of Grand Forks, where he enjoyed woodworking, the great outdoors, gardening and collecting music. He served on the Grand Forks Volunteer Fire Department for several years. He enjoyed a long, successful career with the BC Forest Service as coordinator of computer mapping in the Castlegar and Grand Forks offices. A memorial service and celebration of his life was held at the Grand Forks Gospel Chapel on October 20, 2013. May he rest in peace.
