Notice of Intent to Consider

Amendment Bylaw No. 1027, 2025 A Bylaw to amend

City of Greenwood Council Procedures Bylaw No. 1018, 2024

Pursuant to Sections 94 and 214 of the Community Charter, Council may not amend, or substitute a Council Procedure Bylaw unless Council first gives notice of their intent to do so.

The Council of the City of Greenwood will consider Bylaw No. 1027, 2025 which if adopted will amend Council Procedures Bylaw No. 1018, 2024. The purpose of the proposed amendment in Bylaw No. 1027, 2025 is to permit the City of Greenwood Council to have the names of movers and seconders of motions not be recorded.

For the purposes of considering Bylaw No. 1027, 2025 the City of Greenwood Council will consider first, second, and third readings of the Bylaw at the next regular Council meeting of February 10, 2025 and the regular Council meeting of February 24, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. to consider adoption of the Bylaw. Both meetings will be held at the Municipal Office which is located at 202 South Government Street, Greenwood, BC.

A Copy of Bylaw No. 1027, 2025, is available for inspection on the City of Greenwood website https://www.greenwoodcity.com/ , and at the City of Greenwood Municipal Office located at 202 South Government, Greenwood, BC during regular office hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), Monday to Friday, excepting Statutory Holidays and from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. for lunch.
