Notice of Intent to Consider
Council Procedures Bylaw No. 1018, 2024 A Bylaw to Repeal
City of Greenwood Council Procedures Bylaw No. 997, 2022
Pursuant to Sections 94 and 214 of the Community Charter, Council may not amend, or substitute a Council Procedure Bylaw unless Council first gives notice of their intent to do so.
The Council of the City of Greenwood will consider Bylaw No. 1018, 2024 which if adopted will repeal Council Procedures Bylaw No. 997, 2022. The purpose of the proposed Bylaw No. 1018, 2024 is to make the proper changes to the Procedure Bylaw to meet legislative requirements under the Community Charter S.B.C. 2003.
For the purposes of considering Bylaw No. 1018, 2024 the City of Greenwood Council will consider first, second, and third readings of the Bylaw at the next regular Council meeting of August 12, 2024 and the regular Council meeting of September 23, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. to consider adoption of the Bylaw. Both meetings will be held at the Municipal Office which is located at 202 South Government Street, Greenwood, BC.
A Copy of Bylaw No. 1018, 2024, is available for inspection on the City of Greenwood website https://www.greenwoodcity.com/ , and at the City of Greenwood Municipal Office located at 202 South Government, Greenwood, BC during regular office hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), Monday to Friday, excepting Statutory Holidays and from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. for lunch.
