Vehicle hits deer west of Grand Forks

There were minor damage to a vehicle after it hit a deer west of Grand Forks on May 25.

A vehicle accident occurred west of Grand Forks on May 25 at 6:35 p.m.

A 53-year-old female driver from Kamloops, B.C. struck a deer eastbound on route to Castlegar.

The deer caused some minor damage to the front driver side of the vehicle, smashing out the headlights and the bumper cover.

The car is still functioning and there were no injuries, while the deer was stunned, but was able to get up and run off.
