UPDATED: B.C. Amber Alert for Alvin Barnet cancelled

An Amber Alert for three-year-old B.C. boy Alvin Barnet, issued yesterday, has been cancelled.

An Amber Alert for three-year-old B.C. boy Alvin Barnet, issued yesterday, has been cancelled.

He and father Robert Barnet were found across the border in Montana and the boy is said to be safe.

RCMP issued the Amber Alert after the three-year-old was reportedly abducted by his father from the Elk Valley region.

The alert said they could be in a 2002 blue Subaru Outback with B.C. licence plate 347SBL.

According to the alert, Alvin Barnet was said to be wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, standing three feet two inches and weighing 35 pounds.

Robert Barnet was said to be possibly wearing a dark sweater, blue jeans and runners and described as unshaven with some facial hair, reddish blond hair, with a scar above his right eyebrow – he stands five feet five inches.
