At 1 a.m. RCMP received a report of a theft of a red 2009 Honda quad. It was stolen from the 6th Street area.
“It was last seen eastbound on 75th Avenue,” said Staff Sgt. Jim Harrison of the Grand Forks RCMP.
He said it might have been sighted again in the Valley Heights area.
“At least we think that was the one, at about three in the morning it was seen, but nobody got a good view of who was driving it,” he said. “It’s out and about there and we’re certainly looking for it.”
At 1:05 a.m. Grand Forks police arrested a 31-year-old local man for being drunk in a public place.
“He was charged with that offence after spending the night with us,” Harrison said.
A 37-year-old Nelson female was arrested at approximately the same time for the same reason, drunk in a public place and charged as well.
“She was located at Central and Riverside, stumbling down the road,” he said.
