April 8: At 2:05 a.m. Grand Forks RCMP received a call about an assault with a knife in progress.
A 17-year-old Grand Forks male was arrested and charged with two counts of breaching recognizance of bail: being out after curfew and partaking in alcohol.
He also received one charge of assault with a weapon and one charge of obstructing a peace officer after giving a false name. RCMP Staff Sergeant Jim Harrison said the male was charged then released.
April 10: At 12:41 p.m. police got a report of an attempted theft at Extra Foods. As a result of that investigation, Harrison says police arrested 38-year-old Michael Chartrand of Vancouver.
Harrison said Chartrand was working with West Coast Amusements and there had been a cross-Canada warrant for parole revocation. He was arrested and is awaiting pickup by Correctional Services.
