The 2012 Grand Forks Best Singer contest took place at Grand Forks Secondary School auditorium on Aug. 28 with locals showing off their talent.
Winner Missy Faulkner will singing the national anthems of Canada and the United States for the upcoming Grand Forks International baseball tournament's opening ceremony.
Faulkner will be joined by sister Wendy Faulkner, who won second place, at Kootenay's Best Singer in June 2013.
Gary Smith finished in third place.
