Moto area assault victim released from hospital, back in Grand Forks

The Grand Forks resident who was airlifted to Kelowna, after a fight that resulted in severe head injuries, is in back in town.

The Grand Forks resident who was airlifted to Kelowna, after a fight that resulted in severe head injuries, is in back in town.

The victim was struck with a glass liquor bottle and had to be placed in a medically-induced coma.

The fight occurred at a local party spot known as Moto (east of Grand Forks) around 3 a.m. on May 13.

Timothy Lafreniere, 21, of Grand Forks, has been charged with aggravated assault and is currently on bail pending his court date on Tuesday, June 19.
