A women's memorial march was held Saturday

A crowd of women, men and children gathered at Central Avenue and Fifth Street on Saturday for a memorial march for missing and murdered aboriginal women. Smudging, words, drumming and prayers prefaced a peaceful march to the Women’s Resource Centre where a slide show and potluck luncheon was held. The event was sponsored by the Boundary Métis Community Association and the Boundary Women’s Coalition.
