Grand Forks RCMP say June 21 car theft an example of why to lock your doors

A car theft from a vehicle on 72nd Avenue in Grand Forks on June 21 saw $10 change stolen.

On June 21, Grand Forks RCMP received a report at 1:38 p.m. that $10 in change had been removed from a vehicle on 72nd Avenue and police suspect it happened overnight.

Staff Sgt. Jim Harrison of the Grand Forks detachment said nothing else was missing from the vehicle and there were no signs of forced entry or damage.

“We come back to reminding people to please lock their doors. Don’t make it easy for thieves,” Harrison said.
