Gilpin fire 100 per cent contained

Final update on Gilpin fire, says BC Wildfire Service.

The Gilpin fire, at 224 hectares, is now 100 per cent contained.

The BC Wildfire Service issued that update yesterday, saying, “This is the final update for the Gilpin fire; no further updates will be postedas it is no longer considered to be a Wildfire of Note. If you require updated information on this fire, please contact the Southeast fire centre.”

The Gilpin Forest Service Road is still closed tot he public until further notice, the update read.
