On July 23, a female was at the Grand Forks RCMP detachment office and reported being assaulted.
“She reported being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend and as a result, an investigation was started and the suspect had been arrested and released on a promise to appear in court at a later date,” Cpl. Richard Lanz explained, adding that no serious injuries occurred as a result of the assault.
“We’re submitting charges but nothing’s been officially laid yet,” Lanz said.
As a result, no names have been released.
