On June 3, two kilometres east of Grand Forks on Highway 3, there was a single vehicle rollover accident.

The lone occupant, an 82-year-old male from Beasley, B.C. and driver of a red Subaru Legacy, lost control of his vehicle in heavy rainfall and skidded across the highway.

“The vehicle landed in the ditch after rolling over and landed on its wheels,” said Jim Harrison, staff sergeant of the Grand Forks RCMP.

There were no injuries, however, the driver was shaken up, according to police reports.

The vehicle is believed to be a write-off, added Harrison.
