The City of Grand Forks announced that they have hired Roger Huston, AScT, as the City’s new manager of operations.

The City of Grand Forks, in a press release, announced that they have hired Roger Huston, AScT, as the City’s new manager of operations.

Huston brings 20 years of public works experience with him, including 17 of those in a senior management role.

He is leaving his position as director of operations for Lumby to come to Grand Forks.

“I am looking forward to moving to the Grand Forks community and continuing my career as the new manager of operations for the City of Grand Forks! This is a beautiful area with exciting potential that I want to be a part of,” said Huston.

Roger and his wife will be making their new home in Grand Forks and will start his new position on February 3.

Council, the entire staff and management are extending an eager welcome to Roger and his family to our great community.

“We’re replacing a position where the person retired,” Doug Allin, city administrative officer, told the Gazette. “The job is operations so it includes outside staff public works, it includes the water department, it includes the sewer department, the waste water department, the electrical department, and the airport.”
