It was a sweet end to the season for the Grand Forks Pee Wee Bruins, as the team beat the Trail team 3-2 in the final game in early March. It was a great game and the team from Trail put forth a solid effort. The Bruins were down 2-0 with seconds left in the second period when they scored their first goal, putting up two more in the third period to win the game, with the game-winning goal scored by Jack Jones. It was a great victory for the Pee Wee Bruins, as the night before they watched the Border Bruins end their playoffs on the same ice. The Pee Wees wanted to win the banner for both their team and for the Bruins.
