Women's history in the Boundary celebrated in Grand Forks

History of women's contributions in the Boundary celebrated at the library.

International Women's Day, March 8, was a chance to learn more about how women's achievements built the Boundary Region at the Grand Forks and District Public Library. A free continental brunch-style meal, coffee and tea were served as people talked about the notable women and their contributions to shaping the Boundary, from pioneers, to athletes and political figures and advocates, co-organized by Rebecca Brook and Morgan Paterson. Books by local authors and historians on women's history in the region are available at the library.
