Aquatic centre news:
· Register for Spring Saturday Swim Lessons starting on April 5. We have Preschool and Swimmer levels scheduled until June 7, no classes on May 17. Online registration is available at rdkb.com. Create your online account, or log in to your existing account, where you can register for swimming lessons and leadership courses at any time of the day, right from home!
· Pollywogs is long time favourite program that only runs once a year during the month of April for thirty-two lucky swimmers aged five to eight years old! Join instructors and experienced volunteers for this energizing program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 - 4:45 p.m. starting April 7 until April 30. Pollywogs focuses on stroke development, swim endurance activities and exposes children to a swim team environment.
· Become a lifeguard by April 13! Candidates who have their Bronze Cross certification are encouraged to register for the National Lifeguard Pool course scheduled April 4 – 13. Plus, don’t miss out on our Standard First Aid course from March 24 to 26, a prerequisite for the lifeguard course. Secure your spot and start your journey to becoming a certified lifeguard.
Curling club news:
· As the curling season draws to a close, join us for the Rocker Reynolds Bonspiel from March 28 to March 30. Come and cheer on the teams! Arena news:
· The Jack is open during Spring Break, and we have a program for everyone! Our Spring Break schedule is available until Sunday, March 30. Kids Casual Hockey is scheduled daily from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. followed by Public Skating from 12:30 - 2:15 p.m. Join your friends and family on the ice from 4 - 5:15 p.m. for an afternoon session of Stick & Puck! Adult Casual Hockey is scheduled from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. every night and if you’re hoping to rent ice for a private party, call us for availability at 250-442-2202! For those who love Senior Hockey, join your friends on the ice from 9 - 10 a.m. on Mondays & Wednesdays (65 years and older), and on Tuesdays & Thursdays (55 years and older). The arena will be closed for the season very soon, so make sure you visit the Jack a few more times in the 2024/2025 season!

· Looking for a great way to make friends, learn new things, and have lots of fun?! Look no further than Spring I FriYAY Play Camp! Grade Kindergarten to Grade Four children are welcome to join us each Friday that school is not in session (excluding statuary holidays) from April 4 to May 16 between 8:30 and 3:30 p.m. We’ll be skating, swimming, disc golfing, learning about BC forests, visiting the library and so much more! Each day we have a special activity planned along with crafts, science experiments, outdoor play, and games that foster physically literacy and fundamental movement skills, building motivation, physical competence, and confidence to be active for life! · Drop-in sport programs scheduled at GFSS, Perley, Hutton and Christina Lake Elementary School will not be available during Spring Break from March 17 – 27, but will resume on Monday, March 31.
· Register for Tabata Strength, a moderate to intense Tabata class featuring 8 segments of 4-minute intervals focusing on strength endurance for all muscle groups, utilizing light weights and
high repetitions. This class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm - 6:30pm in the Viewing Room at the Jack Goddard Memorial Arena from April 1st – May 15th, no classes on April 8th & 17th. Preregistration is now open and only twelve spots are available, so be sure to register today!
