Grand Forks Mayor talks housing with federal minister in Ottawa

Talks part of Federation of Canadian Municipalities conference.

Grand Forks Mayor Everett Baker, along with the mayors of Penticton (Julius Bloomfield) and Princeton (Spencer Coyne), met with Gregor Robertson, the federal Minister of Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities, while in Ottawa for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities conference last week.

The mayors took the opportunity to discuss their communities’ successes and challenges regarding both housing needs and the state of funding for municipal infrastructure. Minister Robertson is a former Mayor of Vancouver and was recently elected as the MP for Vancouver Fraserview-South Burnaby.
