Archers from across south take aim at Grand Forks 3-D Archery shoot

Grand Forks Archery Club hosts annual weekend family-friendly event.

The sound of arrows hitting foam targets emanated from the old Granby Golf Course grounds the weekend of April 12 as dozens of archers from across the Southern Interior took in the Grand Forks Archery Club's 3-D shoot. Archers coming from as far as Kelowna and Creston, took in three courses of 3-D targets spread across the former fairways to earn points for best shots with targets ranging from deer, bears, turkeys and wild sheep, to less traditional targets like dinosaurs, alligators and landlocked salmon.
