Horoscope for the Week: July 11, 2014

Michael O'Connor's horoscope for the week of July 11

  • Jul. 10, 2014 4:00 p.m.

Tip of the Week:

An eventful cycle has begun. Under the light of the Full Moon in Capricorn Mercury will be the first star in the show as it re-enters sentimental Cancer. Add to this Mercury in the last degrees of Gemini at the exact moment and you get a very socially stimulated and chatty energy pattern. If you have been out of the gossip loop, this will prove to be a good catch-up time. Add to this a lovely trine (120 degree angle) between Venus and Mars on Sunday July 13th and the social theme is uplifted by a healthy dose of romance power. Party time!

On July 16 big brother Jupiter enters Leo. It will remain in the lion’s den for an entire year. We can expect plenty of excitement and drama to coincide with this ingress. The overall theme linked to the ingress chart speaks of a dynamic influence with plenty of creative flair. Emotions will be running high especially regarding the ongoing and all important revolution of male/female equality. Traditions and the social conditioning implied among various groups and peoples around the world remains the central block. But the revolutionary movement to challenge these outworn attitudes has taken on a global status. We can expect this revolution of evolution to become progressively louder over the coming months.

Venus entering Cancer on Friday July 18 will add to the appeal for a genuine state of empathy required for one to lay claim to the fuller implications of the title ‘human being’. The key is to focus to raise one’s center to the heart. The emotionality of anchored beliefs represented by the solar plexus and the intellectuality of the throat chakra can produce a loop that misses the heart. When the heart is activated it produces a deep sense of unity and even communion with all life. This planetary line-up active now and which will linger for an entire year says, ‘think with your heart and feel with your mind’, literally.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Nurturing an array of new thoughts, ideas and concepts is keeping you busy now. Some of these will prove creatively inspiring. A new quality of harmony and flow in your most intimate connections is featured. The more able you are to stretch out of old ways of thinking and flex into new ones the more joy will you feel. Pay attention to this process.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

As though in the final stretch of a heated race, the pace is accelerating and you want to win. At best you feel excited and stimulated. Tune-in by allowing yourself to cover a lot of bases, to multi-task to your heart’s content. Short trips and quality time shared with family and friends are the counter balancing themes to determined efforts to get ahead.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Desires to deepen an overall sense of security continue to play on your mind. It may be that you want to stimulate more income. Or perhaps you want to experience a boost in your overall state of health. Increased and deepened bonds with people you love are also quite likely. Why settle for less, focus and pray to realize all of the above.

Cancer (Jun 21 – Jul 22)

Expect to experience your confidence levels mounting this week. This represents a big opportunity to take a few risks to advance to the next level. Simply getting clear about what you truly want and need may do the trick. Yet, if you have been feeling stuck and stagnant this week’s energy patterns represent a golden opportunity to breakthrough.

Leo (Jul 22 – Aug 23)

Like recharging your batteries while talking on your phone, now is a good time to balance an active social cycle with a resting one. You can achieve this by engaging in uplifting exchanges yet avoiding adventure or big assertions. You may be more in the mood for both next week but for now, lay low and get your tanks filled.

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

Some exciting prospects are floating on your airwaves. You feel inspired to make some key, calculated moves to increase your scope and influence. Nurturing new streams of income is leading you to increase your network and exposure. Some big opportunities are present for you so focus and take action and do it now.

Libra (Sep 22 – Oct 22)

You are on a roll. This should be especially true socially and professionally. Enjoying cultural activities has and continues to be a central theme. You are happy to push through old and existing blocks. This is one of those break away opportunities. Your willingness to take a few strategic and calculated risks will be rewarded, soon.

Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)

You have been drawn to see a bigger picture but to pay attention to the details as well. Some amount of research is implied. As well, you are open to connect with people who have the answers and resources you are after. Your overall mood remains somewhat sober and serious. Yet you are also interested in alternative approaches.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 – Dec 21)

Deep seated feelings and emotions are consuming your vision. These are linked to important changes and while endings are implied, so too are new beginnings. In fact, you may be getting some big returns. Meanwhile, your social calendar has been full and will continue into this week. But you will soon want a bit more privacy. Romance is featured.

Capricorn (Dec 21 – Jan 19)

Significant encounters with family and friends have been keeping you busy. In fact, you have probably not been able to relax and enjoy. Circumstances are pushing you to contribute more and perform. Generally, you feel quite assertive these days. The time is right to both offer guidance and instruction and to receive it as well. Focus to achieve this balance.

Aquarius (Jan 19 – Feb 19)

Balancing work with play is ever ideal and especially so now. The play side features socializing. The time is right to share quality time with someone you love. If you are single you could, with a little extra effort, meet someone special. Things will open up even wider this week. If you have been waiting for a break there is good reason to say you will get it very soon.

Pisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

An extra creative cycle continues. In fact, it will shift into the next higher gear this week. You may feel inspired to simply share it socially and/or with family. Yet, if you have had any creative projects waiting their turn, the inspiration to at least get started will be there. As ever, the key is to take the first step. Have faith in your creative prowess.
