GFSS grad Selena Demenoff will facilitate a presentation about the future of health care through perspectives in nutrition on Tuesday

The Vegan Luncheon Club is pleased to present a guest speaker at this month’s Potluck luncheon.

Selena Demenoff is delighted to facilitate an exciting presentation about the future of health care through perspectives in nutrition, happening today (Tuesday, May 22) at noon at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Anyone wishing to attend is most welcome, just bring a vegan dish to share and join us for an informative meal.

A native of Grand Forks, Demenoff is currently pursuing her final year of Health Sciences, Honours at the University of Northern B.C. in Prince George.

She has worked, trained, and researched within various areas of health care and will be engaging audiences to explore the crosslinks between complimentary/alternative and conventional health practices.

Audiences will venture amongst several nutritional themes, including: social medicine, hygiene, human metabolism, and food. In learning about the connection between health care and the above mentioned themes, the presentation will also focus on how integrative practices achieve whole health.

Group discussion will explore how health awareness meets disease prevention, as participants enrich their horizons about nutritional living.
