Greg Ludwar cutting Dr. Carole Scholz’s hair on Saturday on behalf of his brother Robert, who died recently of cancer. Scholz, from Grand Forks Central Veterinary Services, saw 24 inches (61 centimetres) of her hair cut for charity.

Fundraising will continue until Friday, Sept. 28, where the movie Bolt will be screened at Gem Theatre at 2 p.m. There will be prizes and proceeds will go towards two charities: Smiling Blue Skies (an organization that supports pets with cancer) and the Canadian Cancer Society.

As of now, they have raised $1,174.56 for Smiling Blue Skies and $919 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
