MS is the most common neurological disease to affect young adults in Canada.

Almost three times as many women as men will contract MS, and usually during the years when career and family are just beginning.

The main symptoms are vision problems, numbness and tingling in the extremities, and extreme fatigue. There is no cure.

The West Kootenay Chapter provides support, services and programs to people with MS and their families.

Facchina works Monday through Wednesday from a home office in Balfour, B.C. and can be reached toll free at 1-866-352-3997 or by email atinfo.westkootenay@mssociety.ca.
