Another edition of the Grand Forks Gazette's Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up: To Roy Ronaghan, Dave Milton and the Gazette for keeping the conversation alive over the dilemma of the large waves damage caused by wake boats at Christina Lake.

Thumbs Down: To CAPTCHA. Those “type in the letters” on the Internet so you can submit your PIN, or credit card, or whatever. You know, those wonky letters that sometimes aren’t even words? Why must I enter 3m573 and why must the website bend the letters in an almost illegible manner?

Thumbs Up: All the people submitting their opinion regarding the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary’s animal control bylaw. This is democracy at work.

Thumbs Down: To all the mud that is caked on cars in the area.

Thumbs Up: To the City of Grand Forks and the worker that finally installed the plaque at Sugimoto Park.

Thumbs Up: Dan Makortoff, Terry Nuyten and the Grand Forks Secondary School Grade 8 girls’ basketball team for taking the West Kootenay A championship.
