Thumbs Down: Grand Forks residents that dump their household garbage in city garbage cans, they are for tourist use.

Thumbs Up: To the grooming crew at Phoenix Mountain, amazing work this year!

Thumbs Down: To bad windshield wipers, which fail to do the job when it snows.

Thumbs Up: To Pete Snidal’s “Not paving the trail” letter in the Dec. 26 issue of the Grand Forks Gazette.

Thumbs Down: To people that make such a mess around recycle bins.

Thumbs Up: To the Grand Forks Gazette, for producing such an excellent local newspaper.

Thumbs Down: Careless drivers who tailgate, especially in this weather, endangering everyone around them.

Thumbs Up: To Bev Osachoff of Yaletown Acupuncture for the masterful job at working that kink out of my neck. I can move it again!

Thumbs Down: To Team Canada’s performance vs. the U.S. at the World Junior hockey championships.
