Grand Forks resident wins jellybean counting contest

Mel Saleski of Grand Forks won the jelly beans and antique jar offered by The B.C. Lung Association at the Rock Creek and Boundary Fall Fair Sept. 17 and 18.

Mel Saleski of Grand Forks won the jelly beans and antique jar offered by The B.C. Lung Association at the Rock Creek and Boundary Fall Fair Sept. 17 and 18.

There were 312 entrants in the contest to guess how many jellybeans were in the jar.

Guesses ranged from 40 to 10, 000.

There were 869 jellybeans in the jar. Congratulations to Mel for his close guess (without going over) of 865.
