In an effort to promote positive thinking and healthy living, Grand Forks’ Taylor Konken-deHaan and Justin Doubosiff have created the Brain Detox Network.

The Brain Detox Network features uplifting videos on YouTube aimed at inspiring people to think positive despite the negativity in the world and to increase fitness in everybody’s lives.

“We decided to start the network because it seems like the entire world is in a mass state of negativity,” explained Konken-deHaan. “Everyone is so quick to get way too stressed out, or they let the slightest things ruin their day. We really want to break that trend and help people realize that life is actually supposed to be fun and not just a big ball of stress and anger.”

Konken-deHaan hopes that the project will take off and one day become a sustainable organization.

“We are going to put all our time and effort into changing peoples lives,” he said. “Our page is always being updated with new inspirational videos and things of the sort, including some videos we make ourselves.”

Along with videos created by Konken-deHaan and Doubosiff, their site features videos from other people, inspirational quotes and sayings, and little tips on how to stay positive.

Konken-deHaan pointed out that their introductory video on YouTube titled “What we want to accomplish” has a break down on what they hope to achieve.

“I just want to ask people that if they like some of what we are saying or what we are trying to do, to share this information with others,” he concluded. “An idea like this can change the world, we just have to let it.”
