Grand Forks' John Malins guesses closest number of jellybeans in B.C. Lung Association contest

John Malins of Grand Forks, B.C. won the jellybeans and antique jar contest offered by the B.C. Lung Association.

John Malins of Grand Forks, B.C. won the jellybeans and antique jar offered by the B.C. Lung Association at the Grand Forks and District Fall Fair Sept. 8 and 9 and the Rock Creek and Boundary Fall Fair Sept. 15 and 16.

There were 670 entrants in the contest to guess how many jellybeans were in the jar with guesses ranging from two to one billion.

There were 1,093 actual jellybeans in the jar. Congratulations to Malins for his guess (without going over) of 1,087.
