Grand Forks arena officially becomes Jack Goddard Memorial Arena

Grand Forks and District Recreation held its annual Old Fashioned Christmas on Thursday featuring free skating and more.

Grand Forks and District Recreation held its annual Old Fashioned Christmas on Thursday featuring free skating, and ice show by the Grand Forks Figure Skating Club, as well as an appearance by Santa Claus himself.The evening also featured the official unveiling of the new sign proclaiming the new name of the arena: the Jack Goddard Memorial Arena.Jack’s son, Jack Jr., said a few words as him and his family as well as members of the recreation commission gathered on the ice for unveiling of the score board with the new name.
