Canada Day long weekend concert goes June 29 at City Park

For the third year, there will be a Canada Day long weekend concert in Grand Forks, this year at City Park.

Duffy Driediger and Vancouver-based indie band Ladyhawk will again be performing at the Canada Day long weekend concert

It's almost time for the third annual Ford Pier and Friends Canada Day weekend concert, featuring performances by Vancouver-based bands Ladyhawk, The Ford Pier Vengeance Trio, Invasives, Slow Learners and local acts The Brother Sister Show and Sober Becky.

The event will be held at City Park in Grand Forks from 5:30 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 29.

This is a free admission outdoor, live music concert event, featuring high-calibre touring bands.

Campsites are available in City Park and reservations can be made at 250-442-5835.

Schedule

5:30 p.m. – Sober Becky is a rippin' folk punk duo from Nelson/Grand Forks.

6 p.m. – The Brother Sister Show (formerly known as Plectrum & Fender) is a local brother/sister acoustic rock duo.

6:45 p.m. - Slow Learners is a punky trio from Vancouver, B.C.

7:30 p.m. – Invasives is an alternative rock band from Vancouver, B.C., back in town for the eighth time!

8:30 p.m. – The Ford Pier Vengeance Trio is an alternative rock band from Vancouver, B.C., back for the third year in a row.

9:45 p.m. – Ladyhawk is a four-piece indie rock band from Vancouver, B.C. coming back to headline for the second year in a row.
