The district council meeting followed. The five clubs are now busy planning for the judging rally May 5 at the Rock Creek Fairgrounds.

This year, 4-H member enrollment has gone up from the 53 last year to 68 (22 senior and 46 juniors members, plus nine Cloverbuds) this year.

We have two multi clubs.

The main projects being horse (includes ranch horse, reining, parelli styles), beef, sheep, dog, photography, sewing, projects with food, cavy, adopt-a-grandparent, poultry, plus the Cloverbud members who are ages six to eight.

4-H was first started in Roblin, Manitoba in 1913, with potatoes as the project, so next year, we will celebrate the 100 years of 4-H in Canada.

The following year will be B.C.’s 100th year and we plan even more celebrations that year.

So if you are an alumnus 4-H member or leader, come help us celebrate.
