The Boundary Emergency and Transition Housing Society (BETHS) announced that the Extreme Weather Shelter in Grand Forks closed as of 8 a.m. this past Monday (April 1).

The shelter had been operating since Nov. 1 on a nightly basis providing shelter for those in need.

The evening of March 31 was the last evening of operation.

BETHS would like to thank the many people and businesses that supported the shelter and made it possible to operate this past winter season.

Community support has made this possible.

BETHS would also like to thank the employees and volunteers who provided much needed services at the shelter this season.

The society looks forward to opening again later in the year and serving those in need once again in the colder months.
