They are calling all artists and crafts people to enter their creative work, to be exhibited from April 17 to 28.
Application forms are available at the gallery and exhibits must be brought to the gallery by Saturday, April 14, before 3 p.m.
During Arts Week, there will be tours and demos for school students in the gallery from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the library during the following hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays – all are welcome.
Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
Arts week begins on Sunday, April 22, with a gala performance by member groups in music, piano, voice and violin, dances by Spirit of the Dance, Les Folles Jambettes, the Hip Sisters, poetry, the Grand Forks Pipes and Drums and a celebration of Earth Day.
Admission is by donation and the proceeds go the upkeep of our community grand piano.
On Tuesday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m., the library is inviting all to come and meet Grant Lawrence, an author, also a free event.
On Thursday, April 26, the Rick Hansen Relay takes place with a celebration at Grand Forks Arena.
On Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m., Christina Lake Living Arts Centre presents a performance by musician Trevor
Visit the Boundary Woodworkers workshop located on Donaldson Drive near North Fork Road, on Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Back at the gallery from 1 to 3 p.m. is a reception for all artists and guests with refreshments, entertainment, music, mini can-can dancers and speeches – a great way to end B.C. Arts Week.
