Thumbs up

Thumbs Down: For allowing the parking lot at the Grand Forks Arena to turn into a rather miserable version of a used car sales lot.

Thumbs Up: To all the businesses and people who support the Grand Forks and District Fall Fair financially. Every contribution large and small is very much appreciated and needed for the fair to continue.

Thumbs Up: To Jo Balazs, Chris Burt, Kay McCaffrey, Louise Popoff, Gladys O’Connor, Jill Talarico, Heidi Werner and Marjorie Wunder for volunteering at the mammogram clinic.

Thumbs Up: To the staff at the Grand Forks Gazette for putting my wallet in a secure place in the office until I discovered I’d left it there.

Thumbs Up: To the GEM Theatre for hosting the Shari Ulrich concert and for Maureen and Marius to the fantastic audience and the dedicated folks at the Alive Group who made it happen. This country is becoming seeded with people who understand the importance of bringing live music into their communities and it’s so heartening to see.

Thumbs Up: To, what are in my opinion, the best fruit smoothies that are refreshing and healthy at Bodhi and Soul.

Thumbs Up: To all those that participated and attended the rugby tournament this past weekend in Greenwood.

Thumbs Up: To Pines Bible Camp, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

Thumbs Up: To Kootenay Car Care for repairing damage to my car and making it look as good as new.
