Thumbs up

Thumbs Down: To those “evil” bandits on horseback that “robbed” the local CIBC on Friday.

Thumbs Down: To the only rude Canadian my niece from England has met in her visits to Canada.

Thumbs Up: To the gentleman that beckoned her over to his part of the counter and sold her what she needed. People in business should remember a smile and a stamp have much in common. They cost so little and go so far.

Thumbs Up: To people of all ages that showed kindness and concern for our lost dog. It helped so much and now he’s back home.

Thumbs Up: To St. John’s United Church for painting and renovating and becoming wheelchair accessible. Good job.

Thumbs Up: To the local RCMP, ambulance, doctors, nursing staff and all the local folks that assisted after my motorcycle accident. We made it home to Chetwynd with all of your help.

Thumbs Down: To Grand Forks City Hall. It has a beautiful clock, a showpiece for the city, and it is not set to the correct time.

Thumbs Down: To the fact Owen Rooney is still missing.

Thumbs Up: To the Downtown Business Association for its Back to the Wild West Days.

Thumbs Up: To the safety features on the new entrance of the RV Park.

Thumbs Up: To Nick Deschenes and the Grand Forks Border Bruins for putting on an awesome boot camp.

Thumbs Up: To the new outside seating at the front of the entrance to Value Drug Mart. It’s fabulous.

Thumbs Down: To the weeds growing around Selkirk College.

Thumbs Up: To the crows for cleaning up carrion and leftover fast-food from parking lots.

Thumbs Up: To Natallie and the firefighters for rescuing my wife from a wasps’ nest.
