Grand Forks’ Overwaitea grocery store may see its name changed to Cooper’s Foods, although Overwaitea is not confirming.
Julie Dickson, director of communications for Overwaitea Food Groups, stated nothing can be announced about any future changes at the moment.
“We’ve had some discussions with our team members about ways to grow our business in this community but don’t have any firm details we can share at this time,” she noted in an email.
“We’re committed to serving the community of Grand Forks and look forward to continuing to provide the great service and offers our customers have come to expect from us over the years.”
Cooper’s is a part of the Overwaitea Food Group, along with Save-on-Foods, Urban Fare, Bulkley Valley Wholesale and PriceSmart Foods.
