The Grand Forks Secondary junior girls volleyball team travelled to South Slocan recently and came back with gold.
The junior Wolves played at a tournament at Mount Sentinel on Nov. 7 and 8 and played off against teams from Nelson, Nakusp, Mount Sentinel, and Midway.
After finishing second in the round-robin, the Wolves went undefeated in the final round to win the tournament.
The girls beat the hometown favourite Mount Sentinel Wildcats in a thrilling three-game match, to take the gold medal.
