LETTER: Thanks to the locals for the hand

Our family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the people who helped us retrieve our family pet on the weekend of Aug. 12 to 14.

Editor:

Our family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the people who helped us retrieve our family pet on the weekend of Aug. 12 to 14.

Jake was startled by fireworks on the evening of Aug. 12.

He left for parts unknown and was not seen again until mid-afternoon the following Sunday. The businesses that allowed us to put up posters and the people who volunteered to help look for Jake can not be thanked enough.

Special thanks to Marissa DeRosa of the Christina Lake Visitor Centre, who helped with the posters and the ladies at the Esso station (Rona) who contacted us when Jake was spotted on the highway heading towards Grand Forks.

A big thank you to the woman who spotted Jake (I’m sorry I didn’t get your name) who lives at the lake.

Those of us that have pets know how much they mean to us. Christina Lake is a beautiful place with exceptional people!

Thank you again for all your assistance.
