Re: Release the hounds (Aug.10 issue of the Grand Forks Gazette)

Mr. Leon Thiessen of Harrop, B.C., I respectfully suggest that your plan for deer control has several major flaws.

Dogs are loud guardians but also major predators. Never have I had a deer attack me but I have undergone a number of attacks by dogs.

They’ve leaped at my throat; they’ve threatened me in packs.

Letting dogs run wild could be a major worse problem than deer could ever pose.
