Thomas William Cheveldeaw

August 6, 1958 - August 1, 2017

Thomas William Cheveldeaw passed away at Boundary Hospital on August 1, 2017 at the age of 58.

Tom was born in the old Grand Forks Hospital on August 6, 1958. Graduated from high school in 1976 and began his post secondary education at University of B.C. Three months after starting at UBC Tom began a career employed by IBM where he remained until October of 1993. Tom's work was also his hobby as well as building sound systems and computers.

Tom was diagnosed with cancer in April 2016 which he battled bravely until his death. Thank you to all the staff, professionals and volunteers at the Cancer Clinic in Kelowna.

Tom is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sharon. Niece Amy Labee, nephews Keith, Randy and Jamie Cheveldeaw and close friend Sheila Webber, many relatives and friends.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Anna Cheveldeaw, brother Paul and niece Wanda.

Thank you to all the nursing staff and doctors of Boundary Hospital for the wonderful care Tom received. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kelowna Cancer Clinic in Tom's memory would be appreciated. We will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grand Forks Curling Rink.
