Patrick (Pat) Barry Marlow blessed the world with his presence on November 19, 1942, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He entered into rest in the company of his wife on September 13, 2010, in Trail Hospital at the age of 67 years. He is predeceased by his parents, sisters Jacqueline and Claudine, son Lee, son-in-law Micheal Moilliet. Survived by Caryn, his loving wife and best friend of 20 years, daughters Corrina Moilliet and Dana, step-children: Jaimee and partner Jesse (granddaughter Louella), Jonathon (granddaughter Zeppy), and Joel.

Known around Grand Forks as “Mr. Hummingbird”, he ran his janitorial/office supply business from 1995 – 2007. He was a compassionate lover of people, who touched the lives of many, never missing an opportunity to share his unique humor and wit. Being very outgoing and outspoken, he understood the importance of, and made a point, to acknowledge others, taking time to banter with most everyone. His most cherished rewards were the smiles he received.

Pat was a gifted teacher, artisan, a true entrepreneur at heart, who inspired and shared much with those around him. He fought a long seven year battle with troubled health, yet, in his determination to win, always retained his sense of humor. He is deeply missed, very much loved, and respected by his family and those whose lives he graced.

A celebration of Pats' life will be held at The Rock Candy Cafe, 327 Market Avenue, Grand Forks, B.C., from 1-4 p.m., on November 7, 2010. Those who wish to participate in an open jam session are most welcome to bring your instruments. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted to World Vision or the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews of Canada.
