Nellie was born on March 7, 1923, at Golden, B.C. She passed away surrounded by her family on March 21, 2010, at Grand Forks, B.C., at the age of 87. Nellie is predeceased by her husband, Bruce.She is lovingly survived by her son Jim and daughter-in-law Bev of Kamloops; daughters: Sharon and son-in-law Harley of Grand Forks, Marie and son-in-law Tom of Christina Lake, and Tammi of Leduc, Alberta. She is also survived by eight grandsons, three granddaughters and 13 great-grandchildren.Nellie loved family and loved the outdoors, especially her flowers and the birds she so often watched. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 1 p.m., at the Grand Forks Funeral Home. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.A special thanks to the nurses at Boundary Hospital, her doctor and her homemakers.
