Mike Woykin of Grand Forks, B.C., passed away on December 20, 2010. Mike grew up in Arran, Saskatchewan. He met and married his love Polly (predeceased), and raised four children: Marcia (Bill) of Grand Forks, Mike (Lynda) of Cochran, Alberta, Elayne (Jim) of Penticton and Johnny (predeceased). Mike had 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mike enjoyed being outdoors and fussing around his yard. You could often find him riding around or going down to the pump house on his lawnmower or plowing the field with his tractor. When he wasn’t fussing, you would most likely find him meeting up with his coffee buddies for an afternoon of gossip and good humour. Mike relished any time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace. A service will be held in the spring. Grand Forks Funeral Home had care of arrangements.
