Lawrence B. Antifay

Sept. 20, 1953 – Aug. 3, 2017

Larry passed away in August just one month shy of his 64th birthday. Larry was born in Burnaby, B.C. and attended grade and high school in Lillooet, B.C. where he graduated in 1971. He excelled in athletics in high school. He graduated from UBC with a BA in psychology and afterwards decided to do some travelling which took him to Australia. Upon his return he enrolled in Nelson’s School of Fine Arts where he perfected many of his artistic skills including carving and engraving. Larry spent his last 30 years in Grand Forks as a loving and devoted caregiver for both of his parents, for which his siblings will be eternally grateful.

Larry was a very talented poet and loved all kinds of music. He wrote his own songs and played them on his guitar. Larry had a very mischievous sense of humour and always had a joke or prank at the ready which will be missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Yvonne and nephew Brian, and is survived by brother Jim, (Colleen), son Matthew, sister Judy (Paul), brother Bill (Gail), daughters Holly and Martina. Larry will be laid to rest beside his father in the Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Forks.
