Larry Eugene Larsen

Sept. 7, 1939 – Sept. 23, 2015

Larry passed away at Ivy House in Silver Kettle Village on September 23, 2015. He was born in Nakusp, B.C. September 7, 1939 and grew up in various places throughout B.C. He joined Ministry of Forests after finishing high school in 1959. Larry married Shirley Bradshaw on June 27, 1964. They lived at Cranbrook, Arrowhead and Mica Creek, coming to Grand Forks in 1969 where he retired from the Forestry in 1995. Over the years he loved to go bowling and enjoyed golf. Every year he and Shirley would go camping at Kokanee Springs on Kootenay Lake with his best buddy Dennis and Janet. They enjoyed playing golf at the golf courses around the lake. Larry was predeceased by his parents Lars and Claire Larsen. He is survived by wife Shirley, son Darren (Teresa), daughter Lori, grandson Scott and granddaughter Brianna.

No service will take place at his request. In lieu of flowers donations to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer Societies would be appreciated. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker Family of Grand Forks Funeral Home.
