No one knows how much I’ll miss you.

No one knows the bitter pain, life will never be the same.

In my heart your memory lingers, sweetly, tender, fond and true.

There is not a day dear Ken that I will not think of you.

Sleep soundly, Pa. I love you.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather Kenneth Gardner on July 19, 2017, at the age of 82.

Ken was a five-year veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, deployed to the Korean War on H.M.C.S. Sioux. Soon after he met his life-long partner Helen. Helen moved west to Ken’s

beloved west coast. He embarked on a 35-year career with BC Tel, first as a radio technician and later as district supervisor. Ken enjoyed and loved his retirement at Christina Lake.

He is survived by loving wife Helen; daughter Penny (Michael), son Rod (Debbie), daughter Wendy; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Gordon (Pat); many nieces and nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life is to be held Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at Christina Lake Community Hall from 2 - 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Ken was a proud man with a generous heart.
