Kathryn Grace Tirk passed away at Boundary Hospital on October 25th, 2015. She was born January 2nd, 1933 in Lucky Lake, Sask to Herbert and Katie Woodruff and moved to Oliver, B.C. in 1940. Grace married Jim Tirk January 11th, 1953 where they lived in Oliver until moving to Grand Forks in 1967.
Grace is survived by her son Bryce, daughters Debbie Styles and Louise (Rob) Woodward and daughter-in-law Carol Tirk, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Brother Don Woodruff, sisters Betty Surinak and Linda Schaffrick and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by parents, her husband Jim, son Randy and brother Dave Woodruff. Grace was a life member of the Hospital Auxiliary. She loved to play bridge 2 to 3 times a week and bowled for many years. She enjoyed going to the local baseball tournaments and always had a very large garden.
Grace will be missed by all. Funeral Service was held at St. John’s United Church on Friday, October 30th at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Grand Forks Funeral Home, gffh@shaw.ca
